Internships Hilary offers internship opportunities for lawyer-mediators and also non-lawyer mediators. The internship is designed to help interns acquire the experience necessary to become accredited by the Ontario Association of Family Mediation or other accrediting body. Interns has access to up to 100 hours of observation, co-mediation and-where appropriate, sole mediation with supervision. As well interns have the opportunity to mediate or co-mediate up to five cases to conclusion, where appropriate. Where possible, Hilary works with other mediators in expanding the opportunities for interns. Hilary also offers mini-courses, both for interns and other mediators, on specific areas of mediation. These courses are often designed in response to requests by students, and are generally one-day intensive training limited to six students.
