Elizabeth Hyde (Medius Dispute Resolutions) is an experienced trainer in family and civil mediation, arbitration and parenting coordination. Elizabeth has many years of experience working with mediation clients, both in private practice with Riverdale Mediation and as Executive Director of Toronto’s court-connected family mediation service mediate393 inc.. This experience, along with her work as a family arbitrator and parenting coordinator, informs her teaching.

Elizabeth’s professional experience includes several years as a public school educator and seven years practicing family law in Toronto. She was also the Director of Professional Development for a large national law firm for ten years, gaining cutting-edge experience in legal education trends and issues.

Elizabeth received her Master of Laws (ADR) at Osgoode Hall Law School in 2013 and is a sessional instructor in their LL.M. program. Elizabeth was an Adjunct Professor at Western University Law School teaching mediation and negotiation. Elizabeth designs and delivers a range of training programs at Riverdale Mediation including training designed for small groups of professionals.

Elizabeth is the Co-chair of the FDRIO Parenting Coordination section, Co-chair of the Youth Project for Mediators Beyond Borders Canada, past chair of the ADR section of the Ontario Bar Association and past member of the Child and Youth Law section executive. In addition to her ADR practice, Elizabeth designs training programs and dispute resolution processes to address issues of bullying in schools and communities.
