It is a North America-wide, interdisciplinary organization of judges, mental health and child services professionals, mediators, lawyers, and academics&#8211; all committed to the development of well-informed best practices in family conflict resolution.<\/p>\n<p>The AFCC&#8217;s Ontario chapter is presenting its annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.afccontario.ca\/afcc_ontario_conferences.html\">conference<\/a> October 14-15 in Toronto. The brochure reads like the Who&#8217;s Who of family law in Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>This is a rare opportunity to hear from some of North America&#8217;s top specialists on the issues that matter to families and children.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the most compelling issues of our time will be discussed and debated.<\/p>\n<p>How to handle the evidence of children; an update on custody and access assessments; a primer on the DSM and its relevance; the &#8220;high conflict think tank&#8221; report; a seminar review of the state of mediation-arbitration in Ontario (including yours truly); a panel on child protection issues; and a report on the family law rules; and so much more.<\/p>\n<p>The Attorney General will be there as will the Chief Justice; along with a great number of other judges from every court.
