A young mediator doing great work!

Here is a neat story in Canadian Lawyer Magazine about a young mediator (who is also one of our teaching colleagues at Riverdale) who is doing some very innovative things in ADR.

Radhika Lakhani

Radhika Lakhani was a third year law student at Osgoode Hall when she decided to do something to give law students more experience with mediation. At the same time she could help provide better access to justice for people in a high-risk neighbourhood by offering them free mediation.

Radhika, now a successful family lawyer and mediator with her own practice in Markham, was the driving force behind Osgoode’s Mediation Intensive Clinical Program. The clinic provides free mediation services to community members. The program also is training local students in conflict resolution skills. For more information on this leading-edge program, read the Canadian Lawyer Article.

Congratulations Radhika!!
